Climate Change
Climate change is not a scientific controversy, every major scientific academy around the world agrees with Climate change.
Climate change has been in process for a long period of time, still, we are not doing enough. In 2003, a heat wave in Europe that is directly linked to Global Warming killed around 50,000 people and in 2010, this time on Russia, the heat wave caused global food price to spike because it affected the agriculture tremendously. A few years ago, NASA announced that “We have officially crossed a climate tipping point”, they said that Antarctica glaciers are collapsing and this is unstoppable.
What I believe is that CO2 is one of the major pollutant factors, causing climate change, the thing that most people don’t understand is that “CO2 is unlike other pollutants”. let say there is a river polluted by a waste of factory nearby, to resolve this we can eventually close down the factory and take other measures, in some time water of the river healthier and cleaner, but CO2 last in the environment for hundred ’s and thousand’s of year.
One method which we can use to decrease the speed of Climate change is, Fees and Dividend Policy, in this we can charge some amount on businesses which contribute to pollution and use that money to resolve climate change problem like promoting researches for alternative energy source and do afforestation. Another step we can take is that, make the policy global, like countries not applying it will have to pay more export tax.
If we start now and take some steps for climate change may be the result will be different, then if we start 10 years later.
